Hilton Head Island boasts some outstanding golf courses with the world famous Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines Resort, home of the Heritage Tournament on the PGA Tour the week after the US Masters to the fore. Sea Pines also has two more golf courses, the Ocean Course (not to be confused with the Ocean Course kiawah) and the challenging Pete Dye designed Heron Point.

Palmetto Dunes Plantation also has three excellent golf courses named after their designers – Robert Trent Jones, Arthur Hills and George Fazio.

The Heritage Group has a number of courses around the island – Oyster Reef, ShipYard Plantation which has 3 nines, the Cupp and Hills courses at Palmetto Hall and Robbers Row, Planters Row and Barony at Port Royal Plantation.
